here we have collected some of Ylva’s work from recent years. at first she started painting in acrylic, it was so hard to get started but with acrylic it was fun because the paint dries quickly. Ylva had just moved to her hometown and to a very special house behind the old mansion where her great-grandfather lived and had his painting studio. it was a huge one-story house with a fantastic park right outside with 18th century linden avenues. in the house, over 100 years ago, he had rebuilt the windows to a panoramic view to the north for the best lighting. Ylva felt she had the best conditions. the last two years all her painting have been done in oil. they are squared from 30x30 cm to 150x150 cm with motifs in a wide range, from her dog, foxes, women - to Ylva’s vintage shoes, each object with a common thread; wildness.
